York did make some "natural" 4-valve Monster E-flats, but they are rare and the only ones left belong to collectors or museums. ("Natural" meaning originally built with 4 valves as opposed to having a fourth added). Dan Oberloh of Oberloh Woodwind and Brass Works, located out here in Seattle, is becoming known as one of the best brass repair technicians in the business. He recently completed a full restoration on a 4-valve top action JWY&S E-flat for Ron Munson. I have a 3-valve front action Monster, and I played Ron's before Dan had it overhauled. It was a wonderful horn even then. In any event, anyone interested in seeing a photo of it can do so at Dan's website: WWW.Oberloh.com, under "Completed Projects". I should add no changes were made to the original horn except for a custom leadpipe, I believe. All work was done by Dan except the plating, which was done by Anderson.
