I have just signed over an almost new Meinl Weston 182 3/4 F tuba to David
Fedderly at the Baltimore Brass Company to sell for me on consignment.

The horn is only 2 months old, and it is in flawless, like-new condition.
To use the description from the Meinl Weston and Baltimore Brass web sites:

"Don't be fooled by the compact size of this 3/4 size 5 valve F tuba.
The .689 bore size and 13.8" bell give this 31" tall tuba a huge beautiful
sound."

If you are looking for a great small F tuba for solo and chamber music work,
this is a great choice. Also, the price ($3,900) makes it very attractive
for a student looking to purchase their first F tuba. If you don't know the
MW 182, think YFB-621, but with rotor valves and a great, warm "German" F
tuba sound.

Also, this particular 182 has the 5th valve on the right hand thumb, a la
"American" style (The two photos of it on the MW/BBC web sites show it with
a left hand 5th valve).

The 182 made its debut at the 1998 ITEC, but didn't really hit the market
until last year. Dr. Richard Perry down at Southern Miss. U. plays on one,
and I know he has used it on at least 2 jazz CD recordings as of late. I
have also used it in a 50 piece community orchestra, and had no problems with
being "big enough", etc.

It is a geart horn - I've just decided to switch over to Eb tuba due to 90%
of my playing being Brass Band these days.

For more info, contact David Fedderly at the Baltimore Brass Company.

Thanks.
