I tried a Megatone Bach 18. Could not tell any difference. Sent it back and paid the obligatory restock fee.
The mass of the tuba mp is already so big, I don't believe the extra mass of the megatone makes significant difference. Now, on a trumpet, there would be quite a difference between the regular and megatone sizes.
That's my first hand experience.
