The taste for orchestral tubas in the USA tends to run to very large CC tubas. The only Viennese tubas that I know about are rather small in size. Are there large Viennese tubas being made?
In some ways, I can see that the L+R valve sets might lead to a layout with fewer sharp bends in tubing than the usual 5 valves-in-line. Is this an accurate observation?
