I have a "Cerveny like" Amati which was made in Kraslice in 1987. It is a BBb, 4 rotary valve, bore about .790-.795, bell 15 3/4", ht. 41", wt. about 20 lbs. I think it pretty much matches the specs of a Cerveny 68. Not a cheesy horn, plays pretty good, although I am definitely an amateur at this point. If anything, the laquer is off a bit in some spots, so maybe they did market them under the student line. Mechanically it is good, well braced, etc. Has always been a curiosity to me also, but I like it.
