I think I can be of some assistance here: Buy the Johnson case...period. I have the genuine Hirsbrunner hard case and it's a piece of crap. I've flown with it several times and my horn gets a nice bell crease at least 50% of the time. I've decided never to fly with it again. I'm buying a Johnson case myself.
