Good news for you is that your horn is silver plated. Usually you can color buff (red rouge) the area of a solder repair one (1) time to buff off solder marks and not go through the horn. There are a few brands that are very thinly plated however.
Contact the merchant you bought your horn from and give them a chance to make it right. Especially if you bought it from me. If that means shipping your horn however, you may consider just putting that money to having your local (competent) repairman fix it and be done with it. Rebuilding your entire horn is too excessive. Having the defect fixed is not.
