"Also, there is a neat work called "Wonderland Duets for 2 Tubas and Narrator" by Raymond Luedecke. These duets are written originally for tubas with the text taken from "Alice In Wonderland". They are a real trip!"
I've played this piece on a couple of occasions. It was all I could do to keep from busting up in the performance. Finding a narrator who can understand and get into the spirit of the text is the tough part. I did it with a buddy of mine (James Morrison), and out teacher at the University of Arkansas did the narration (Gerald Sloan). Mr. Sloan is known for his deadpan expressions and humor. The juxtaposition of this with the text was a magical combination. The audience was in hysterics throughout the performance.
