The Conn 20K Sousaphone is simply the best instrument on the planet to play on the field. They sound like a concert tuba, feel like a concert tuba, and respond like one. They will take everything you can give. I played an old one while stationed at Fort McPherson with Lee that actually played better than half of the $8,000 horns the band owned. I daresay that they would work better than most tubas in a band situation if played with grace and style. Just my 200W.
