I'm going purely on empirical data when I say this: When I play tested the R&S Heavyweight versus the standard Helleberg, the R&S produced an obvious difference. When I did the same test with a standard Bach 18 and a Megatone 18, there was virtually no difference. My guess is that the R&S Heavyweight model has some quality to it that the Megatone lacks and I'm guessing that the extra mass on the R&S might make the difference. That is why I'm so interested in trying an R&S style Bach 18 heavyweight.
