I'm just as baffled. When the first batch were finished thwere shipped to Germany to be plated. Either Besson or Walter(I honestly don't remember which) didn't like something about the plating, which is the reason they weren't shipped out in 2001. The ones I played were silver plated, with no logo on them at all. I vaguely remember something about Besson thinking the horns were "too German"- your explanation for that is as good as mine.
