Harvey was a servant first which let him be the humble one. That leads to great leadership if developed. And he did.
Seriously, the key ingredient is one of leadership. If set up correctly, the organization can run without the originator. Leaders are developed, not just born. It's when someone or a group want control that the problems start.
This all has to do with a "vision". If someone wants the local groups to operate forever, then a vision statement has to exist. After the vision statement comes the operations and the support.
