Glad to help - I understand your situation. I'm American, but I got married when I lived in Japan and for the last 15 years our home language has been Japanese. Even though my wife has gotten pretty good in English since moving to the US with me, we still speak what we started out with.

And we both get confused, can't think of words, etc all the time. And because I never paid attention to cooking until I got married, I actually know a lot of the words for foods in Japanese and not in English. And a lot of stuff my wife picked up here she doesn't know in Japanese. Sometimes she has to ask me how to say something in Japanese and sometimes I have to aske her how to say something in English!

And to make it worse, we've both been studying Italian for 4 or 5 years now.

So it's total linguistic confusion around here all the time. Doesn't seem to bother the dogs though.
