Imagine if Arnold Jacobs never began using "the" York full time with great success, there would probably have never been the 6/4, BAT, Yorkaphone craze.

As an owner of a 6/4 and a 4/4 I can say that I am blessed with two great CC horns and would use either one in an audition depending on the situation and orchestra. There are several orchestras/conductors that prefer the lighter sounding horns.
