I added my tuba to my home owners insurance with a rider that explicitly described the horn, including the serial number. I had to fax a copy of the bill of sale to etablish value. I think the rider cost me something like $7 on top of a $700 annual insurance cost. My horn cost $1750 plus tax. Metropolitan property and casualty (if thats the right name these days)
