We probably agree more than disagree. Your second paragraph clearly states what I was trying to state. I do have many borthers and sisters in my congregation that will insist on the plummer and electrician working for free as well as paying the minister as little as possible. This attitude is prevelant in my community as well.
BTW, I am the groundskeeper as well. My father in law is the electrician and heat/air contractor for the church. He gets paid for equipment. His labor is free, and he pays his crew full wages. I get paid, but it might cover the gas used for the week, and I use my own equipment. Funny whet we do for the Church.
