'Twas just a little levity!

Politics are usually discussed by all. The problem seems to be when people don't understand the neccessity of both sides of the view. It would be like a woodwind player declaring that only woodwind instruments will be played from the wind family. Brasswinds shall no longer exist. While both have their inherent stengths and weaknesses, usually both (with exceptions) are needed to make a truly diverse and dynamic ensemble. Add some others, like strings and percussion, and it becomes even more interesting.

I equate it to the Yin and Yang.

I also find tuba players interesting as we seem to be more conservative, as a whole, than our musician counterparts.

Age and financial responsibility change a lot of thinking also, just like we have to approach our playing differently as we age.
