I half-expected this post to refer to some model of tuba that can't be had through normal channels, or some out-of-production model. I must admit, I have never been paid to play anything.Ijust play for the fun of being in the band, and to improve over the course of my currently humble career. I also play for the absolute exhiliration that comes from playing any music that is on the challenging side. My yearly boost from tuba playing comes when I play with the local symphony on stage,outdoors, and in front of a huge audience. For that period of time this year, I'd like to imagine that I'm Arnold Jacobs.
Last year, I didn't know Arnold Jacobs existed. Funny, how much changes when you discover Tubenet.
