Heck, at least were not as bad off as the hapless viola players. The looks we get seem to mostly be of the curious, "did-you-really-say-TUBA?" variety; where the violists seem to get looks of pain or even sympathy. They even have their own web page there's so many jokes about them. I try to keep a couple of jokes per instrument in the back of my mind, so that when I get zapped with a tuba joke, I can zing the perpetrator right back.
