The portable MD players include a (now) standard stereo sub-mini phone plug. You can get an adaptor that will provide two mono sub-mini phone plugs, and then another adaptor to adapt them to whatever your mikes have.

If your mikes are intended for commercial use, they probably have three-pin XLR connectors, known as "balanced." MD players (and all other consumer electronics with microphone inputs) use unbalanced, two-conductor connections. If your mikes have balanced connections, you'll need a mixer with balanced inputs. Then you can just run the line out from the mixer to the line in on the MD recorder.

For what you are requesting, I would suggest a deck intended for studio use, rather than a portable. All the portables that I've seen use software to control features rather than buttons, so you have to navigate menus rather than "mash familiar buttons." You have to pay a lot for mechanical controls.
