We're getting a week away from the Texas regional at TCU. Looks like they are doing everything big down there, the list of people coming is impressive. Harvey Phillips will be there doing a presentation. If it is anything like the one he did last summer in Washington, you should be in for a treat! The only problem I have is that I will be doing a presentation right after Mr Phillips - a hard act to follow.

This year I have been presenting "Arnold Jacobs Almost Live," a series of presentations featuring photos, sound clips and videos documenting Mr Jacobs' career and teachings. "The Performer" has been done at the Kansas City and UMass regionals and will be done Saturday, May 17, following Mr Phillips' presentation at 1:30.

On Friday, May 16 at 1pm, I'll be doing a new presentation, "Breathing for Wind Instruments." This primarily consists of 18 videos of Mr Jacobs talking about various aspects of breathing. Let's face it, on this subject, we are all students of his whether we know it or not but most have not heard it directly from Mr Jacobs - here's your chance. We will have a forum of Jacobs students answering questions afterwards. Take a look at http://www.windsongpress.com/almost%20live/almost%20live.htm for samples of both presentations.

This is not all that will be going on. Besides Mr Phillips, Pat Sheridan, Brian Bowman, Larry Campbell and others will be there. There is supposed to be a Texas BBQ! For more information, their website is http://www.spearnet.net/~alex8822/ .

See y'all down there!
