In the last year, I've seen my property taxes go up 42% (no, that is not a typo). That amounts to about $1385. My state income tax has risen a small amount, too. Local sales taxes have gone up enough to cost me another hundred or two each year. My federal income tax didn't change so's I'd notice. Thus, my tax bill has increased, not decreased.
And this labeling people as "rich" is real dangerous. You soon discover that anyone who has more money than you is "rich." But when you get to where they are, you'll wonder why you thought so.
