Actually you have it backwards.

Beta Blockers are a form of blood pressure medicine which slow down the heart rate which again usually initiates the nervous responce. Beta blockers do not eliviate the feelings of doubt and insecurity that typically cause the nervous respoce to take place in the first place. Not to say everybody who gets nervous is a weenie but who ever feels "perfectly ready" for a performance or audition.

I currently use inderal but in the past have used the generic of "propanitol" (I know its the wrong spelling) which I liked better. Make sure you give them a try before the actual needed situation to make sure you tolerate them well.

Drop a line if you have anymore questions,

David
