As far as solos, have you looked at any of the following?
Kjell Roikjer-Sonata, Concerto
Vagn Holmboe-Sonata, Concerto, Intermezzo
Some of these are quite fun and hardly ever seem to be performed. The Holmboe Concerto and Intermezzo have been recorded by Jens Bjorn-Larsen on Chandos(Correct label, I think!). You can find them (Holmboe) for sale at Sheet Music Plus on the web. Have fun!
