Last I heard was that they had they had been mass produced, but Besson thought they were 'too german', and an issue was made out of how they were lacquered. This I heard third hand, but from a well known/respected tuba dealer who assured me that information was straight from Mr. Nirchl. As I understand it, they've been sitting in a warehouse for a year now. Can anyone clarify?
