Here's an old photo of the Cazzani-Rampone that I found. It doesn't look that big, until you realize that the bell's 22.5" in diameter. 0.900" bore. Free-blowing as all outdoors.
The rotors are solid. Consider that the weight of a rotor on a rotary valve goes up as the cube of the bore and you can readily appreciate how playing this thing made your fingers ache.
