I had never seen the older Nirschl. Thanks for posting the pic! I have played many fine examples of the newer version. They all played great, some with better intonation than others of course. However, I have said it before and I will say it again the MW2000 gets my ultimate vote for the perfect all around CC tuba. It is definetly worth a blow before making a decision on a Hirshbrunner or the Nirschl. Intonation wise I think they are more consistent and the sound is quick and easy.
My opinion for what it is worth!
