Regarding the Student group--Micky very correctly stated that "get them young and keep them" is what is happening with this group. What would have happened is way back when, someone had said "what is the TUBA thing? Who put them in charge? I didn't get to vote on that!" To get things like this started, you have to start somewhere. A group of students was solicited to be first generation leaders. My understanding is that after this year, there will be venues to elect or at least appoint new members to it. Geez, why criticize something liek this that at least has forward indicators on it?
