The number of Mirafone tubas in this band might be an indication of:
1 The Band is located in Southern California
2 With Tommy Johnson, Jim Self and previously Roger Bobo all teaching here
(at one time they were all playing Mirafones)
3 The Mirafone Instrument Co. was located in the Los Angeles area
4 Many of the local High Schools used (still use) Mirafones
