Greetings from LaTech. I've just been hired to play in the Centenary Summer Band and I'm looking at some of the members and I think I recognize your name. The roster looks like an all-star list of players from Louisiana. This, of course, is my first time playing in this job and it would make me feel alot better if I had a friend who could tell me something about what I'm getting into. As a consequence of being asked to play, I've been told I have to join the union to get paid. As you probably know there is a heated debate going on about this on the message board. If you could give me some helpful info, I'd be most appreciative.
