My understanding is that Art took all this in fun. C'mon Arnold S. Gottleib, can't we chuckle at ourselves just a little? (pssst: I even [genuinely] belly-laugh when people poke fun at my looks, ancestry, and my place of worship. If people are comfortable enough with me to kid me, I figure they're probably OK and think I'm OK.)
If tuba, accordian, banjo, and viola (and maybe even tuba/bass doubling, like you and me) players can't laugh at themselves, who can?
