Hey Jason. I think you'll have a great time at Norfolk this summer. I certainly did when I attended in '98. As far as music goes that summer, my quintet worked up the Bozza Sonatine, Jan Bach Laudes, Sampson Morning Music, and many more smaller yet compelling pieces like the standard Malcolm Arnold Quintet and J.S. Bach's Contrapunctus 9. The one piece I did not work on was the Etler, and I wish I had, if not just for the sake of tackling the monster. A couple pieces I have really enjoyed performing in other venues are the Persichetti Parables and Jim Self's Three 4 Five. There are many more, but those come to mind immediately. You'll have plenty of time to work on a lot of music. Norfolk is very conducive to rehearsing and practicing, being surrounded by a beautiful estate, great musicians, and amazing teachers. Enjoy.
