I was at Bob Tucci's candy store in Munich with the brass section(I'm playing bass, but they let me hang out with them) from the tour of "A Chorus Line" just 4 weeks ago. One of the trumpet player's asked Mr. Tucci this same question. His answer was that he plays primarily a CC tuba. Last time I was in his store, Rainer ______? from the Austrian Radio orchestra was there playing Bob's 6/4 Rudy Meinl BBb that is actually the property of the Munich Opera, and he said he plays exactly the same horn in that orchestra, although he was there to buy either the PT6 or the Nirscl York(with the orchestra's money of course). Bob also had an older handmade melton there in BBb, which was a heck of a horn, and he thought he would sell it to one of the local guys. Mr. Tucci will probably have a better answer for your question if you email him directly. Good luck. ASG
