Dr. Mike Fischer has accepted the tenure track position at Boise State. He is at the end of his first year. Additionally, he is performing in the Boise Philharmonic and will be teaching adjunct at at least one other area college.
In his first year at Boise State, Dr. Fischer has done a terrific job! He has created a tuba-euph ensemble, hosted an Octubafest, and has made plans to host an "All- Northwest" Tuba-Euph Ensemble. Besides me (A doctoral student), he has attracted graduate students. I expect BSU to be considered a serious place to study tuba in the very near future.
