Dave Fedderly insures his tuba shipments through Amtrak only for $300....because he has private insurance on them, and he doesn't want _anybody_ at Amtrak knowing what they are really worth. Interesting point of view.
Great guy, Dave. I forgot to enclose the return shipping cost when I sent back a tuba, and he had _already_ sent back my original check...so he sent me an email asking for the shipping cost, which I sent forthwith. Honest guy, great to deal with.
