I don't think I've ever heard of bronze plating. Why would someone want to do this? Bronze is an alloy of tin and copper; I would expect the same sort of problems with contact dermatitis as raw brass.

I have mouthpieces in gold and silver plating. Sonically, I can't imagine that there's a difference. Some think that gold plating feels "slicker" or "warmer" than silver. Some require gold because of sensitivity to silver.

But basically, I think it boils down to whatever looks good. Silver or gold, the plating is only a few microns thick.
