I am an e-flat player, so it's nice to see someone else planning to go that route in a world where i feel like a minority!
I play a Besson 983, but I tried out the PT22 extensively at the Army TEC in January. I LOVED the horn! I would consider trading my Besson for it. I like my Besson, but I really really liked the 22. It seemed like a great horn in all registers, and retained many characteristics of an F tuba sound. I don't have experience with the other horns, this is just my feeling on the 22. I would recommend it, but you should try out all three horns and see what you think. You may find the horns entirely different than another person. I believe Custom Music has the 22, that was where I tried the horn in DC. Good luck!
