No. Inderal is a persription medication for performance anxiety. It is listed in medical literature for this use and is perfectly legal. If you have this condition, then it would not hurt to see your doctor to see if it could be of good use for you. It only takes a 10-40 mg dose to calm down the heart enough to perform at a normal level. It is not a performance enhancing drug. Performance anxiety is a dehabilitating condition in some people though who are otherwise very employable musicians.
