Your thoughts are very logical when bassing your observations off the key board. You are right about the BBb being in the contra octave and the C is in the great octave along with the Eb and the F and the Bb Euphonium then you you would have the c French Tuba. There is some debate over where the division of the contra octave is but that is a whole other thread. So to sumerize it would go something like this
BBBb Monster tuba at Harvard
GG Marching Tuba made by Kanstal and the like
BBb Tubas and sousaphones
C Tuba
Eb Tuba
F Tuba
G Tuba
Bb Euphonium
some manufactures will use a term like EEb to imply a larger Eb Tuba and most people call C horns CC out of context but your milage may vary. There is no standardized nomenclature when it comes to pitch and dimensions as of yet.
