John Mueller has decided to retire from the U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own" after 21 years of dedicated service. He'll be missed as he moves to Memphis where he'll be the Asst. Prof. of Trombone at Univ. of Memphis.
So....euphonium opening in the U.S. Army Band CONCERT BAND. That's right, the winner of the audition may go straight into concert band if he/she beats all the other people at the audition (including current U.S. Army Ceremonial Band euphoniumists).
Tell your friends! Audition to take place somewhere between October and December, 2001.
