On the left is an old Mahillion (Belgium) Bb (NOT BBb) tuba and on the right is a "modern" (Weril brand) euphonium. These two instruments are the same length overall. The tuba mouthpiece inserted in the Mahillion tuba is the original Mahillion mouthpiece.
I offer no other comments...' just adding to the discussion on this topic that arises regularly.
