I'd get a 2nd opinion about it from a dentist. My (former) dentist recommeded that I have my wisdom teeth out 10 years ago. Since they all came in perfectly straight, caused me no pain, weren't croqding other teeth and caused me no pain, I kept them. Since, I have had a few surface cavities filled, but nothing more, and have had NO PROBLEMS at all! My current dentist is of the philosophy that keeping your teeth is the best route (that is, of course, unless they are causing problems).

My advice,? Get your teeth cleaned profesionally at least twice a year, and ask them to keep an eye on your wisdom teeth to alert you of pending trouble.
