Sunny Queensland Matey.. (I have lived in NSW, Vic, Tas, SA & WA as well,) A bit of different names for the rose here. Metal trades, mechanics and such, would call it a clamp, the chippies (Carpenters to our Yank mates) are inclined to call a clamp a cramp.

Your illustration of "if the name fits, it must fit" is why I am looking for a fairly tool I can recommend to teachers etc. who are not handy to a repairman, like easily 500 miles or more for some out here, (as if they would go there before mucking things up). I'm not sure what some people would think though if I were to recommend using a boa constrictor .

Talk about shredded horns, you should see what one pissed digger and a book case falling onto your 1929 King 4RV BBb monster can do to it. Didn't hurt him but made a real mess of the valve set and lead pipe especially.

Now you keep that big horn of yours away from those girls on Hay St!!!!!!!!!!
