Just as a note (no, that was not suppose to be a bad pun), there are a few pieces on Eugene Dowlings "The English Tuba" where, acording to the insert, he plays on a French C Tuba, and is sounds VERY close the the sound he has on the F tuba. So who is to say the the tenor tuba wouldn't be the right choice to use?
