Rick,
Thanks for the info. I am planning a little sojourn to Dillon's this summer if I can get myself away from the seafood of Tidewater VA.
I have some questions. I have only played one York Master. Is this horn a York in name only? I assumed that the instrument was made by B&M and stencilled. Did they buy the mandrels? Did York craftsman make the instrument? Is it a true York or is the mystique wrapped up in the name? I really liked the one I played, so I am not trying to denigrate a great horn(sorry for the alliteration). I am very interested in the lineage and the thought that went into the making of these instruments. I remember the one I played as having superb valves and an annoying 4th valve slide. Kind of hit you where someone least likes to be hit. Thanks ahead of time for your insights and thanks for the informative post.

Chuck
