The Warburton-Neilan of course!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(He should have seen it coming..)
Seriously, any of the larger helleberg style mouthpiece like the Conn Helleberg, Schilke Helleberg II, or Warburton Arnold Jacobs (part of the inspiration for the W-N which was designed specifically for my 1290). I find the 1290 sounds best with a deep V cup and a large throat seems to help intonation.
I have found that most C style cup mouthpieces do not work well at all on this horn, at least for me. I have thought about trying the humongous C cupped PT88 on it, but don't know anyone with one and havn't had the cash to buy one myself. Lots of people use it on large piston horns and like the results, so it may be a possibility for the 1290.
I have also found that the 1290 lends itself well to heavier mouthpieces. EMail me if you want any more info.
