I haven't played the Getzen, but have played both the old and new King. I think that the King could be a good all-around tuba, for a BBb. If you want it in CC the Conn 56J has almost the same specs. I liked the way the both of the samples of the King that I tried played. They aren't as free blowing or as full sounding as some of the larger bore horns that I have played, but they are darn nice horns. I like the new ones much better than the old ones that I have played. I have been told that UMI hasn't released the "official" price for these yet, but expect to pay in the mid $3000s one in lacquer.
