Have you tried other mouthpieces? Get thee to a music store with a large selection, and try them all. Go back a week later, and do it again to double-check your original results. If you find one that works, buy it. If not, well, there's probably a shop set up in the back room. Also get a local pro to play it with his/her own mouthpiece, and see if they have the same problems.
