I don't usually work on F tuba music on my BBb tuba, but for the amateur reason that I'm liable to screw up the fingerings during a mental lapse.
But I know that I play the F much better when most of my playing is on the BBb, just because it keeps the air-movement apparatus in its best form. If you can breathe through a part on the big horn, then you have much more air-supply headroom on the little horn.
