I just wanted to make a short comment on my latest use of the minidisk. I recently have been shopping for a new string bass and bow and took the MD along for recording my playing some selected instruments in a bass shop. This was the biggest help in remembering(with my increasing feeble mind) which one sounded or played a certain way as I also made some oral observations along the way. It also helped to hear what an instrument such as this sounds like in front, where it is best heard, as opposed to on top of it, where the operator resides. I happened to choose one that has a nice presence on top as well as in front.
